Steve and Loraine Johnson are from Warren and Minneapolis, Minnesota, respectively.  They have two children – Joanna, married to Gregg Hazlett, a chaplain in the US Navy; and Nate, senior pastor in Roseau, MN, married to Valeríe (nee Sjelin). They have four grandchildren.

Their home church is Fountain of Life in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and they maintain membership in the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies.  They are also members of the Iglesia Bíblica in McAllen, Texas.

They have served in Spanish-speaking ministries with CFU since 1968 in South Texas, Mexico and Spain, with Steve on the Board of Directors from thirty-two years and serving as General Director from 1986-2015.

Steve and Loraine are also credentialed with the IBCCM (Fellowship of Biblical Churches of Mexico).  He served on the Mexican Board of Directors in Mexico, as Director of the Bible Training Center (1976-1983), and continues to be a consultant to the Mexican Board (1983-present).  Their ministry partnership includes leadership development, ministry to women and Pastoral care -- especially to leaders and their wives.

Since 2000 they have been instrumental in CFU’s partnership with VEA, a Spanish-speaking agency that began in Spain in 1991.  As part of the cooperation between CFU and VEA, Steve and Loraine participate in the training and pastoral care of gospel workers in Mexico and Southern Spain.

Their passion is the evangelism, training and mobilization of a new generation of Spanish-speaking leaders to preach the Gospel to those who have never heard.
